cozy cards

cozy cards is a small game developed for the cozy autumn game jam 2022 in which your goal is to gain as many points as possible by strategically playing cards onto a grid.

BASIC GAMEPLAY

you draw cards from the deck and place them onto the board (grid) to gain points by satisfying specific criterias defined for various card types.

INTERFACE

the interface of the main game consists of the following:
display of your current score (A), counter fo the number of cards of each type (B) that are remain in the pile (C), the discard pile (D) on which you may stack up to 5 cards for later usage, the main board (E) and finally the mouse controls (F).

CARD TYPES

the following table explains all available card types and how they will be evaluated.

ROBIN

since winter is right around the corner, this tiny bird will steal food wherever it can. If a field card is on your grid, the robin might appear and steal it after five moves - if not prevented by you (for example by finishing the field group it is sitting on or scaring it away).

EVALUATION

card structures of a type of card will be evaluated instantly, once they meet the criteria listed in the CARD TYPES. Through clever placement of your cards you might be able to get more points out of your deck than initially expected.
